Laketown Wharf 713 Our Little Sea'cret

What a wonderful vacation to the white sands and blue oceans of the Florida Shores. We couldn't have asked for anything better as the facility and the beach had everything we could have needed & allowed us to travel light. Upon arriving to our destination area we noticed many things available including Walmart, gas stations, restaurants,activities for the children (putt putt, arcades,go carts, etc)., shopping spots & so much more all within walking distance. After spending 7 hrs driving, the last thing we wanted to do was get back in the car so this was a great bonus. The facility had ample parking and parking was monitored by staff to assure it was for the facility members only which also offered a level of comfort and security. The condo was spectacular. As we opened the door, we could smell the cleanliness and were greeted by a spacious entrance. I was pleasantly surprised as we walked around and examined all the amenities that it has everything we needed including but not limited to, towels, soaps/body wash, pots/pans, coffee machine, blender (for those Pina coladas), measuring cups, dishes/cups, and even spices to help with cooking! When it came to cooking, I only needed to buy food as all the spices/oils and cookware I needed was readily avail thanks to the amazing host. The livingroom was spacious with a pull out sleep sofa should you need additional sleeping space. The kitchen livingroom were a open floor plan with an island with stools and an additional table with 4 chairs. There was just room everywhere and you didn't feel cramped like in a hotel where you feel your stepping on each other. There was 2 TVs, although we didn't watch it, but this allowed so down privacy time should you need it. The view was perfect and the balcony was spacious to fit a table for 4 out there plus additional chairs for lounging. When it was time to hit the beach, remember we traveled light, there was a box on the patio of shared items avail to us that included random beach toys/accessories like chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, sand toys and goggles. This was fantastic. We in turn added something to the box for the next family to enjoy. But with all these items avail, now we have to head to the beach and of course there was a beach wagon to make travel easier. Like I said, this condo had anything you could think of making vacationing a real vacation. The beach was across the street and we had 2 options, a private "members only beach" or the public beach and multiple entrances for that. We went on the private beach one afternoon but it was a bit crowded for us as they do offer chair/umbrella rentals but with all the guests and people traveling light, it got quite filled. It is also conveniently located near a local beach restaurant, Pinapple Willies, where you can get food, alcohol, frozen drinks & bathroom, thus making it a desirable beach location. We opted to go to the public beach the remainder of the week and so glad we did as it was less crowded, we go front row spots near the water and it was a short walk should we need to head back to the condo. The beach was beautiful white sand with turquoise clear waters with 2 significant sandbars to make being int he water desirable. There were no rocks and honestly not very many shells, just soft sand between your toes. We were blessed to have wonderful weather the whole time. When beach time was over, we would head back to the condo and would rinse off in the avail outside shower to get all the sand off and either head to one of the 4 facility pools or hot tub. One night we sat on their large patio and go ice cream from one of the restaurants below. On occasions we would watch the water show they put on at 8 in the pond on premise. As I mentioned, everything was in walking distance. You did not have to leave the premise if you didn't want to, only to get your initial grocery run). If you didn't want to cook, there was several restaurants below and ice cream shop. Just across the pond there was a drug store, food stores, activities & shopping avail. Should you decide to leave the premise and drive around- Destin beach wasn't far with lots of restaurants and shopping, including outlets. If you just wanted to travel a little down the road in Panama Beach, there was a fishing pier and Pier shopping. You could literally spend all day in this one location with all the things to see & do. Our kids like to fish so we found a local park that had a pond specifically for kids to fish, Frank Brown park. I give our time at Laketown Wharf 5 stars cause I had everything I needed and wanted nothing more except more time. We look forward to our next stay and exploring more of the area.

This place is amazing. What a view. Everything is in walking distance. Love the balcony view. I will come back.

Perfect location. 5 min walk to the beach. Plenty of amenities. Local to everything. Great vibe. Clean and had all supplies listed. Seamless entry and check out. Highly recommend.
